Ishan Kishan unbeaten on 111 as East Zone reach 385 for 4

East Zone captain Ishan Kishan scored an unbeaten century on day one of the Duleep Trophy final. Kishan reached his hundred with a four off the first ball of the 77th over after Shikhar Mohan made 85.

Kumar Kushagra was unbeaten on 63 and added 144 for the fifth wicket with the captain. East Zone closed the day on 385 for 4 against South Zone at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Sunday. Chief selector Ajit Agarkar was among those watching from the stands.

Ishan Kishan said Mohammed Shami's intensity gave the side confidence ahead of the final. The East Zone seamer is set to play his 100th first-class match in the same game.
