Ishan Om takes maiden five-wicket haul for India Under-19
Ishan Om took five wickets for India Under-19 against Australia in the first Youth Test at Rajkot.
Ishan Om claimed his maiden five-wicket haul for India Under-19 against Australia on the opening day of the first Youth Test at the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot. The left-arm spinner from Ranchi helped bowl Australia Under-19 out for 217. Ishan has spent time bowling to Mahendra Singh Dhoni in the nets in Ranchi and received advice from the former India captain to focus on red-ball cricket at this stage of his career. He started at an academy in Ranchi at the age of eight, moved through district and state cricket, and captained Jharkhand Under-19 last season. He also made his Ranji Trophy debut before earning his India Under-19 call-up. Ishan said he has no specific targets and just wants to enjoy his bowling and do well in every match.
