Japan captain warns team not here to celebrate T20I against India

Japan's captain made it clear the side didn't travel to India just to mark the occasion. They're here to compete in their first T20I against the hosts and stay composed while they do it.

The match is the first time Japan have faced India in the format. Preparation stayed on execution, not the historic weight of the fixture.

India are treating the series as warm-up for the Asian Games. Japan want to make themselves felt on the field rather than simply complete the trip.
