Jhulan Goswami says Mumbai Indians tried for Kiran Navgire
Jhulan Goswami confirmed Mumbai Indians pursued Kiran Navgire but lost out to Delhi Capitals' higher bid of 75 lakh.
Delhi Capitals bought Kiran Navgire for 75 lakh at the WPL 2027 mini-auction after she entered with a base price of 40 lakh. Mumbai Indians were unable to secure her due to their limited 90 lakh purse, the lowest among all teams.
Jhulan Goswami said Mumbai Indians tried their best for Kiran Navgire but could not get her. She added that the franchise secured 95 to 97 per cent of their targeted players. Mumbai Indians completed their squad with six uncapped domestic players.
Jhulan Goswami said Mumbai Indians' scouting team works round the clock to identify targets. Delhi Capitals paid nearly double Navgire's base price to make her their first acquisition of the day.
