Joburg Super Kings sign Kieron Pollard

Joburg Super Kings bought Kieron Pollard for R1.5 million at the SA20 Season 5 auction. The West Indian will play for a Super Kings franchise for the first time after 16 years of association with Mumbai Indians.

Pollard went unopposed in the auction. Joburg Super Kings had R20.6 million left in their purse and six slots to fill when they secured the 38-year-old.

Pollard scored 3,412 runs and took 69 wickets across 13 IPL seasons with Mumbai Indians. He also captained MI Cape Town in the SA20 before being released ahead of this auction.
