Jofra Archer says England's pace depth could extend his Test career

Jofra Archer bowled the fastest opening spell of his Test career as England produced a relentless bowling display on day two of the second Test against Pakistan at Lord's. Archer took three wickets and bowled at an average speed of 90.7mph as Pakistan were bowled out for 110 in their first innings. Ollie Robinson finished with four for 11.

England reached 290 in their first innings and then added 81 for three in their second innings to lead by 261 runs. Archer said England's four-man pace attack could help him play Test cricket until the age of 40. The 31-year-old shared the attack with Robinson, Josh Tongue and Gus Atkinson.

The pace quartet represented the first time Archer has lined up alongside Robinson, Tongue and Atkinson in the same England side during this three-Test series against Pakistan.
