Jason Roy joins Glasgow Cosmic for new European T20 league

England opener Jason Roy has signed for Glasgow Cosmic in the inaugural European T20 Premier League. The move sees Roy replace Finn Allen in the squad ahead of the tournament's launch.

Roy's arrival adds international experience to a franchise preparing for its first season in the competition. Allen has joined the ILT20 for the upcoming season with the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders.

The European T20 Premier League represents an expansion of franchise cricket on the continent. Roy remains a regular in England's white-ball squads and will balance his commitments across both formats.
