Kamlesh Jain steps down as India team physiotherapist before Afghanistan series

Kamlesh Jain resigned as India's senior physiotherapist before the Afghanistan T20I series, ending his association with the national setup that began in June 2022. The BCCI has not named a replacement for the three-match series that starts on September 13.

Jain had worked closely with players on injury management, rehabilitation and recovery during his tenure. Several squad members have dealt with persistent niggles that have affected availability throughout the current cycle.

The timing of the resignation coincides with fitness concerns around multiple players ahead of the Afghanistan tour and the Asian Games. The BCCI has not issued an official statement on the change.
