Kamran Akmal criticises Saim Ayub for Sooryavanshi send-off

Kamran Akmal said Saim Ayub should focus on performance after giving Vaibhav Sooryavanshi a cradle send-off in the Asian Games final.

Former Pakistan wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal criticised Saim Ayub for giving Vaibhav Sooryavanshi a cradle gesture after dismissing the 15-year-old in the Asian Games final. Akmal said Ayub should focus on his own performance rather than social media gestures.

Sooryavanshi had scored 15 off nine balls with two sixes before edging a reverse sweep to the wicketkeeper. Ayub's celebration drew criticism from Pakistani commentators who called the act unfortunate.

India won the match by 19 runs to retain the title. Akmal added that such gestures do not look good in international cricket regardless of the batter's age.
