Keightley's future as Mumbai Indians coach uncertain after Cricket Australia role

Mumbai Indians head coach Lisa Keightley has taken a role as Cricket Australia's National Development Lead, Sportstar reported. She used to coach the Australian women's national team.

She signed a two-year extension with Sydney Thunder, so she'll keep working there. Her WPL job looks more likely to end. Cricket Australia is building out its domestic pathway and wants her in that structure.

Mumbai Indians haven't said whether they'll look for a new coach or try to keep her in both roles. Whatever they decide will set the franchise's coaching shape before the 2027 season.
