Kerala face Bengal in Ranji Trophy Elite Group C clash

Kerala will take on Bengal in an Elite Group C Ranji Trophy match at the KCA ground in Mangalapuram on Monday. The hosts enter the contest with momentum after securing an innings victory against Odisha in the previous round, powered by centuries from Sachin Baby and Mohammed Azharuddeen.

Kerala's spin attack of Jalaj Saxena, Aditya Sarwate and Vaisakh Chandran proved decisive on the helpful surface in Thiruvananthapuram. However, the KCA ground offers early assistance to pace bowlers before favouring batters, presenting a different challenge against Bengal's potent attack led by Mohammed Kaif and potentially Mohammed Shami.

Heavy rain cancelled net sessions for both teams on the eve of the match. Bengal's top order, led by captain Abhimanyu Easwaran, Sudip Gharami and Abhishek Porel, has been in good form this season.
