Delhi Capitals sign Kirstie Gordon for Rs 10 lakh at WPL 2027 auction

Delhi Capitals signed Kirstie Gordon for Rs 10 lakh after the Associate player switched from England to Scotland. The franchise now holds four vacancies after also buying Kiran Navgire earlier.

Delhi Capitals signed Kirstie Gordon for Rs 10 lakh at the WPL 2027 auction in Kochi on October 28. Gordon will be classified in the Associate category after switching from England to Scotland. The left-arm spinner joins the franchise with five vacancies remaining after their earlier purchase of Kiran Navgire for Rs 75 lakh.

Gordon represented England before the switch and enters the competition as an overseas player under the Associate rules. Delhi Capitals secured her after UP Warriorz had released Navgire prior to the auction. The franchise now holds four vacancies following the two signings.

Sophie Molineux went to UP Warriorz for Rs 1.10 crore as the most expensive player on the day. G Kamalini fetched Rs 40 lakh from Gujarat Giants while four Indian players each sold for Rs 30 lakh. Delhi Capitals will continue filling their squad in the remaining auction windows.
