KKR sign Luvnith Sisodia as Pathirana replacement
Kolkata Knight Riders signed wicketkeeper-batter Luvnith Sisodia for INR 30 lakh to replace fast bowler Matheesha Pathirana, who tore a hamstring during KKR's win over Gujarat Titans. Sisodia's no stranger to the squad — he played for KKR in 2025 and spent time at Royal Challengers Bengaluru before this.
The move shores up KKR's depth behind the stumps, though it comes as the team chases Delhi Capitals' 203 for 5 at Eden Gardens. KKR have already lost Angkrish Raghuvanshi this season, so the replacement adds cover on a squad that's been hit by departures.
Rajasthan Royals separately signed left-arm spinner Emanjot Chahal to cover for wicketkeeper-batter Ravi Singh, who's out for the rest of IPL 2026 with a hamstring injury. RR beat Mumbai Indians by 30 runs at the Wankhede in their last game.
