Rahane says Varun Chakravarthy played through fractured toe for KKR

Ajinkya Rahane confirmed that Varun Chakravarthy continued to play for Kolkata Knight Riders despite a fractured toe in IPL 2026. The medical and team staff cleared him to stay on the park.

Rahane added that he never considered stepping down as captain or dropping himself from the XI during KKR's poor start. The side stayed in the present and maintained character under pressure.

At Eden Gardens, Delhi Capitals posted 203-5, and Chakravarthy took 1 for 35 off his four overs. KKR were dismissed for 163 in 18.4 overs, with Rahane scoring 63 off 39 balls.
