KL Rahul and Jaiswal fail again as India A reach 106 for 2

India A's openers extended their poor form while Padikkal and Sudharsan provided the only resistance on day two.

KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal fell cheaply again on the second day of the first unofficial Test against New Zealand A at Bert Sutcliffe Oval in Lincoln. Rahul was dismissed hit-wicket for 4 off 15 balls, while Jaiswal managed 5 before being caught behind.

Devdutt Padikkal and Sai Sudharsan steadied the innings with an unbroken partnership of 97 runs, taking India A to 106 for 2 at stumps. The visitors still trail by 98 runs after New Zealand A posted 317 in their first innings.

Rahul will miss the remaining two unofficial Tests to join India's ODI squad. New Zealand A added 24 runs on the second morning before Anshul Kamboj dismissed Curtis Heaphy for 44.
