Kris Srikkanth questions India’s handling of Vaibhav Sooryavanshi after first T20I win
Srikkanth’s remarks highlight growing debate over India’s handling of young talent.
Former India captain Kris Srikkanth criticised the team management for the confusion surrounding Sanju Samson and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi despite India’s eight-wicket win in the first T20I against West Indies. Srikkanth said the decision-making process lacked clarity.
Sooryavanshi was left out of the playing XI for the match in Lucknow. Head coach Gautam Gambhir had earlier stated that the teenager would have to wait for his opportunity.
Srikkanth’s comments came after India took a 1-0 lead in the five-match series.
