Kuldeep Yadav takes 10 wickets as Yorkshire beat Essex by innings and 106 runs
Kuldeep Yadav claimed career-best first-class figures of 10 for 120 as Yorkshire defeated Essex by an innings and 106 runs in the County Championship at Headingley. The left-arm wrist-spinner took 4 for 70 in the first innings and 6 for 50 in the second on a pitch that assisted spin.
Yorkshire posted 456 in their first innings and enforced the follow-on after dismissing Essex for 175. George Hill supported Kuldeep with seam movement as the visitors were bundled out for 175 again inside three days.
The result leaves Yorkshire close to confirming Division One status with two rounds remaining in the County Championship. Kuldeep's performance comes after he was dropped from India's Test squad earlier in the season.
