Kuldeep Yadav unlikely to be picked for New Zealand Tests

Kuldeep misses out on New Zealand Tests; pace attack prioritised over spin options.

Kuldeep Yadav is unlikely to be selected for India's two-Test series against New Zealand because conditions are expected to favour pace over spin. The selectors plan to include no more than three spinners, with Ravindra Jadeja, Washington Sundar and Manav Suthar currently ahead of him in the pecking order.

Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Gurnoor Brar and Akash Deep are shortlisted for the pace attack. An injury to any of them could open the door for Auqib Nabi or Mukesh Kumar.

Saransh Jain, who made his Test debut against Sri Lanka, is set to be dropped after failing to impress, with Washington Sundar now fit and available.
