Kuldeep Yadav unlikely to be picked for Test series in New Zealand
The spinner is certain to feature in the ODI series but conditions in New Zealand favour pacers more than spinners.
Star spinner Kuldeep Yadav is unlikely to be picked in India's Test squad for the two-match series against New Zealand. India will travel to New Zealand in the third week of October to play five T20Is, five ODIs and two Tests.
According to a report in the Times of India, since conditions in New Zealand will favour pacers more than spinners, the Indian selectors are unlikely to pick more than three spinners. With Ravindra Jadeja, Washington Sundar and Manav Suthar currently ahead of him on the priority list, Kuldeep could miss out.
Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Gurnoor Brar and Akash Deep are reportedly in line to be picked for the New Zealand Tests. Saransh Jain failed to impress with his bowling on his Test debut during the Sri Lanka series and is set to be left out with Washington Sundar now fit.
