Lalchand Rajput leaves UAE head coach role after three years

Lalchand Rajput left after nearly three years in charge of the UAE team. UAE's ODI status is at stake at the eight-team tournament in Kathmandu. Rajput recorded three consecutive wins to finish the Cricket World Cup League Two campaign, though UAE finished last overall.

Ahmed Raza said he fully understands the responsibility of the role as the new head coach. Rajput said he was proud of qualifying for the Asia Cup and T20 World Cup during his tenure.

The change comes at a critical time for UAE cricket as the team prepares for the tournament that will determine their ODI status.
