Lance Morris returns from 18-month injury lay-off

Lance Morris made his comeback in a T20 match for Scarborough, taking two for 14 from four overs. The 28-year-old fast bowler had been sidelined by back surgery and a side strain.

Morris will represent Western Australia against an England XI in a one-day warm-up on Saturday. He said the extended pre-season has left him feeling fitter than before the injury.

Mahli Beardman, 21, was also named in the Western Australia squad. Morris described Beardman as a multi-format prospect with significant potential.
