Leicestershire's points deduction reduced from 27 to 19
Leicestershire had eight points returned from their 27-point penalty but remain in the relegation zone.
Leicestershire had eight points reinstated from their 27-point deduction for a poor pitch in August's win over Glamorgan. The Cricket Discipline Panel reduced the immediate penalty after reviewing whether the 19 points taken from the match should have been considered in the original sanction.
The Foxes were relegated from Division One last week after an innings defeat by Warwickshire. The original penalty included an eight-point deduction plus the 19 points earned from the 42-run win. A further eight-point suspended deduction and a £5,000 fine remain in place.
Leicestershire chief executive Emma White said the club's position on the charge is unchanged. The team now sits 17 points behind Essex with one round remaining. A successful appeal would lift Leicestershire above the relegation zone.
