Lhuan-dre Pretorius breaks Chris Gayle's record with 188 not out in T20

Lhuan-dre Pretorius scored an unbeaten 188 off 79 balls for the Titans against the Knights in South Africa's domestic T20 competition. He hit 15 fours and 13 sixes to surpass Chris Gayle's previous record of 175 not out set in the 2013 IPL.

Pretorius reached his century off 40 balls and was on course for the first double century in T20 cricket before running out of overs. The Titans posted 267 for three and bowled out the Knights for 143 to win by 124 runs.

The 20-year-old had scored a T20I century against Namibia last month. He is also the youngest South African to score a Test century on debut.
