Litton Das cleared to resume training after hip scan shows no serious damage
Litton Das received positive scan results on his injured hip and will continue rehabilitation ahead of Bangladesh's WTC fixtures.
Bangladesh white-ball captain Litton Das received positive scan results on his injured right hip on Monday. Medical assessments at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium found no serious damage, clearing him for light rehabilitation ahead of the World Test Championship series against West Indies.
The 32-year-old sustained the injury during the ongoing ODI tri-series in the UAE and returned home for assessment. Bangladesh Cricket Board medical staff reported a slight muscle issue but confirmed the hip joint itself remains unaffected. Litton has begun light physiotherapy and will undergo further evaluation in two days before any increase in workload.
The West Indies arrived in Dhaka on Sunday and begin preparations for the first Test scheduled to start on October 28. Bangladesh will host two Tests before travelling to South Africa for a two-Test series beginning November 15.
