Shreyas Iyer came up with 101 off 51 balls — his maiden IPL century — as Punjab Kings chased down 197 and beat Lucknow Super Giants by seven wickets at Ekana. Prabhsimran Singh added 69 to get them to 200 for 3 in 18 overs. Josh Inglis had led LSG to 196 for 6.

It's a six-match losing streak snapped, and it keeps Punjab's playoff hopes alive heading into the final league games. But the bigger damage is already done — they've spent INR 14 crore on Iyer as captain, and individual brilliance hasn't been enough to drag the collective across the line.
