Australia name unchanged squad for South Africa ODI series

Australia have named a 16-man squad for the three-match ODI series against South Africa beginning on September 24 in Durban. Pat Cummins returns as captain alongside Mitchell Starc after both fast bowlers were rested for the preceding series in Zimbabwe.

Billy Stanlake has been ruled out with a side strain, and Spencer Johnson is returning home. NSW all-rounder Jack Edwards replaces them in the squad. Cooper Connolly has been retained after back-to-back half-centuries at number three.

South Africa will be without Kagiso Rabada, Lungi Ngidi and Ottneil Baartman due to hamstring injuries. Nqobani Mokoena and Duan Jansen have been added to the Proteas squad. The series serves as preparation for the Test tour that follows immediately after.
