Maddinson and Harper added to Australia's Test squad in South Africa
Maddinson and Harper join Australia squad as Inglis and Green face injury concerns.
Nic Maddinson and Sam Harper have been added to Australia's Test squad for the tour of South Africa after Josh Inglis was ruled out with a fractured right finger. Maddinson returns to the Test setup nearly a decade after his last appearance.
Maddinson, who underwent treatment for testicular cancer in 2025, has not played first-class cricket since his recovery. Harper earned his maiden international call-up after scoring a career-best 677 runs in the Sheffield Shield season and a 128 against India A this week.
Cameron Green is in doubt for the opening Test after suffering an abdominal strain in Wednesday's ODI. The first Test begins in Durban next week.
