Markram returns for second ODI against Australia

Aiden Markram will return to international cricket in South Africa's second ODI against Australia at the Wanderers on Sunday. The Proteas lead the series 1-0 after their 67-run win in Durban last Thursday.

Markram has not played a match since returning from The Hundred in early August. He stepped away after South Africa's T20 World Cup semifinal loss to New Zealand in March and trained with Titans and Tshwane University during his absence.

Markram averages 38.15 against Australia in ODIs and more than 60 in Tests. He said he will need to spend time at the crease after the long break and acknowledged Pat Cummins remains a sustained threat with the ball.
