Matt Henry ruled out of remaining T20Is against India

Matt Henry will miss the remaining three T20Is as New Zealand manage pacers' workloads before the ODI series.

New Zealand Cricket confirmed that Matt Henry will miss the remaining three T20Is against India and will join the ODI squad directly. The pacer bowled only two overs in the second T20I in Christchurch before leaving the field with a tight calf. NZC stated the decision forms part of planned workload management ahead of the five-match ODI series starting November 4.

Lockie Ferguson will also miss the third T20I in Wellington but will return for the final two matches. Kyle Jamieson will stay in Wellington after the third match to play domestic cricket for Canterbury and will join the ODI squad later. Blair Tickner will join the T20I squad for games three to five, while Josh Clarkson will be added for the fourth and fifth T20Is.

New Zealand coach Rob Walter said the squad depth allows rotation to keep pacers fresh across formats. India lead the series 2-0 after winning the second match by four wickets at Hagley Oval.
