Matt Kelly announces retirement from professional cricket

Matt Kelly won't bowl another ball for Western Australia or the Scorchers. The 31-year-old fast bowler is retiring after a decade, and recurring injuries made the decision for him.

He leaves with 87 Sheffield Shield wickets from 28 matches at 28.4, plus 47 BBL appearances that brought three titles. Australia A picked him and he earned an ODI call-up in 2023, but injury kept him out of the side for good.
