Matthew Hayden recommends Dinesh Karthik as CSK head coach to replace Stephen Fleming
Hayden backed Karthik's local connection and Under-19 coaching record as reasons to appoint him CSK head coach.
Matthew Hayden said Dinesh Karthik would be a strong choice as Chennai Super Kings head coach. CSK ended their 18-year association with Stephen Fleming after the 2025 season.
Hayden cited Karthik's local roots and his experience coaching India Under-19 as factors that make him suitable. Karthik played multiple seasons for CSK during his career.
The franchise is searching for a new head coach ahead of the IPL 2027 season. No appointment has been confirmed yet.
