Matthew Renshaw replaces Jake Weatherald as Australia opener for second Test

Australia have named Matthew Renshaw as opener for the second Test against Bangladesh in Mackay. Renshaw replaces Jake Weatherald, who scored 23 and 0 in the first Test defeat in Darwin.

Renshaw will partner Travis Head at the top of the order. The Queensland left-hander last opened for Australia during the 2023 Ashes series.

Nathan Lyon holds his place in the XI after surviving a selection discussion. Australia need a win to level the series before the World Test Championship cycle concludes.
