MCA commits Rs 500 crore corpus for grassroots cricket development

The Mumbai Cricket Association approved the Rs 500 crore endowment fund at its annual general meeting held at Wankhede Stadium on September 11, 2026.

The fund will support grassroots cricket development across the city and suburbs. The MCA also increased club subsidy to Rs 500 crore over 10 years.

The decision comes as the association prepares to name lounges after Sachin Tendulkar, Ajinkya Rahane and Madhav Mantri at the Wankhede Stadium.
