Head-Klaasen Surge Shatters Rickelton's MI Record at Wankhede
Ryan Rickelton's 123* off 55 smashed MI records, but Travis Head's 76 and Heinrich Klaasen's 65* reeled in 244 with eight to spare.
Heinrich Klaasen swung clean through the line — four sixes over the Wankhede ropes in his 65* off 30. Sunrisers Hyderabad hunted down Mumbai Indians' 243 for 5 with six wickets standing and eight balls left. Travis Head smashed 76 off 30, then Salil Arora and Klaasen closed it out.
Mumbai Indians opened without Rohit Sharma or Quinton de Kock. Will Jacks cracked 46 off 22, but Ryan Rickelton dragged them to a total with 123* off 55 — his hundred in 44 balls, MI's quickest ever and their highest individual score. Praful Hinge grabbed 2 for 54 while SRH's attack bled at over 12 an over.
Abhishek Sharma leads the Orange Cap with 425 runs in nine matches after his 45. Klaasen lurks second on 414. SRH rattled off a fifth straight win; Mumbai Indians dropped their second on the trot after Chennai Super Kings hammered them by 103 runs.
