Mickey Arthur criticises PCB selectors for squad overhaul after Lord's defeat

Former Pakistan coach Mickey Arthur slams PCB selectors for replacing seven players after the Lord's defeat, calling the decisions ridiculous.

Former Pakistan coach Mickey Arthur has criticised the PCB's decision to overhaul the Test squad after the Lord's defeat. The board replaced seven players, including five uncapped cricketers, ahead of the third Test at Birmingham.

Arthur described the selection changes and coaching replacements as ridiculous decisions that destabilise the team mid-series. The overhaul follows heavy Test defeats in England that have left Pakistan trailing significantly in the World Test Championship standings.

The former coach said the mid-series changes reflect panic rather than strategic planning. Pakistan face an uphill task in the final Test at Edgbaston.
