Mike Hesson open to taking on Pakistan Test head coach role

New Zealander Mike Hesson said he is open to taking on the Pakistan Test head coach role after being given interim control for the Edgbaston Test. He could be appointed across formats if the Pakistan Cricket Board decides to extend his responsibilities.

Hesson took charge for the third Test after Pakistan's previous coaching setup was reviewed following the series losses. The PCB has not confirmed whether the interim arrangement will become permanent.

Pakistan's Test campaign has struggled in recent years with inconsistent results across different conditions. Hesson has previous experience coaching New Zealand and Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the IPL.
