Mitchell Santner becomes first bowler to take two four-wicket hauls against India in T20Is
New Zealand captain Mitchell Santner became the first bowler to take two four-wicket hauls against India in T20Is during the second match at Christchurch on Saturday. He finished with figures of four for 21 as India collapsed from 40 for none to 112 for six while chasing 181.
Santner's previous four-wicket haul against India came in the 2016 T20 World Cup at Nagpur. He is now the second New Zealand captain after Daniel Vettori and the fourth overall to achieve the feat. Santner also moved into the top ten of the all-time T20I wicket-takers list with 148 wickets.
India recovered to win by four wickets through an unbroken 69-run stand between Tilak Varma and Nitish Kumar Reddy. The third T20I is scheduled for Tuesday at Henry Stadium in Wellington.
