Mithun Manhas says performance not age should decide Kohli, Rohit selection

BCCI president Mithun Manhas said Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma's places in India's 2027 ODI World Cup squad should depend on fitness and performances, not age.

Manhas stressed that the final decision rests with selectors and coaches. He added that the experience of Kohli, Rohit and Hardik Pandya would help captain Shubman Gill manage the demands of leading the side.

Manhas also highlighted India's growing player pool as a way to handle an increasingly demanding international calendar and injury concerns.
