Mohammed Shami remains outside India's selection plans

Mohammed Shami hasn't been picked since India's Champions Trophy win in 2025. He was central to the 2023 ODI World Cup campaign, but the selectors have kept him out of every squad since.

Indian cricket rarely makes formal announcements when a player's time is up. Shami's name simply stops appearing, so his international career looks finished without anyone saying it out loud.

At 35 he still plays franchise cricket, but there's been no hint he'll be back in India colours.
