Mohsin Naqvi named chief guest for Women's Asia Cup final

PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi will serve as chief guest at the Women's Asia Cup final scheduled for September 13 in Dubai. Hindustan Times and DNA India reported the confirmation on Tuesday.

The announcement revives the question of whether India will accept the trophy from Naqvi if they reach and win the final. The Indian men's team declined to accept the Asia Cup trophy from the PCB chief last year.

No statement has come from the BCCI or the Indian women's team management on the protocol. The final will decide whether the trophy handover becomes a diplomatic issue again.
