Mohsin Naqvi was informed before India snub

The BCCI informed ACC officials in advance that India's women would not collect the Asia Cup trophy from Mohsin Naqvi.

BCCI officials told the Asian Cricket Council before Sunday's Women's Asia Cup final that India would not accept the trophy from ACC chairman Mohsin Naqvi. Naqvi, who also serves as Pakistan's Interior Minister, led the presentation party after India beat Sri Lanka by 72 runs in Dubai. Head coach Amol Muzumdar confirmed the BCCI had taken a formal position on the handover. Sri Lanka players collected their medals and cheques while India remained in the dressing room. The episode mirrored last year's men's Asia Cup final at the same venue.
