Morne Morkel praises Mayank Yadav's pace and Prince Yadav's rise

Morne Morkel highlighted Mayank Yadav's pace and Prince Yadav's rise from net bowler to international cricket ahead of the West Indies T20I series.

India bowling coach Morne Morkel said Mayank Yadav's pace remains his standout quality ahead of the first T20I against West Indies in Lucknow on Tuesday. Morkel highlighted Prince Yadav's journey from net bowler at Lucknow Super Giants to the Indian side as a story of resilience and hard work.

Both players represent LSG and have worked with Morkel at the franchise. Mayank returned to international cricket after almost two years of injuries and took five wickets in the recent T20I series against Zimbabwe. Prince made his ODI and T20I debuts earlier this year.

Morkel noted that managing young players across formats remains challenging due to the packed schedule and rotation policy. Neither Mayank nor Prince was part of India's Asian Games squad that won gold on Saturday.
