Mukesh Choudhary takes five as Rest of India trail by 17
Choudhary's 5 for 78 keeps Rest of India in the hunt; J&K lead by 41 after first innings but trail overall by 17.
Mukesh Choudhary claimed five for 78 as Rest of India bowled Jammu and Kashmir out for 278 on day two of the Irani Cup in Srinagar. The left-arm seamer took four wickets on Friday to record his first five-wicket haul in first-class cricket.
Paras Dogra made 75 and Abdul Samad 57 for Jammu and Kashmir, while Lone Nasir Muzaffar scored 64 from number nine. Rest of India reached 24 for one in their second innings at stumps, trailing by 17 runs.
Choudhary said he now manages his workload more carefully after multiple injuries, bowling around 30 to 35 overs a week and prioritising physical conditioning alongside regulated bowling volume.
