Mumbai Indians enter WPL 2027 auction with six vacancies and Rs 90 lakh purse

Mumbai Indians will enter the WPL 2027 auction on October 28 with six vacancies and Rs 90 lakh remaining in their purse. The franchise released six players and acquired Tara Norris from UP Warriorz for Rs 10 lakh, reducing the number of spots to fill.

The retained overseas core comprises Nat Sciver-Brunt, Amelia Kerr, Hayley Matthews, Shabnim Ismail and Nicola Carey. Harmanpreet Kaur and Sciver-Brunt form a strong middle order, but the franchise needs an Indian top-order batter after releasing G Kamalini and leaving Rahila Firdous as the sole wicketkeeper.

Gongadi Trisha and Vrinda Dinesh are among the domestic options available at a base price of Rs 10 lakh. Mumbai will seek another Indian wicketkeeper and domestic bowling cover while operating with an average budget of Rs 15 lakh per player.
