Naeem's 71 helps Derbyshire take charge against Gloucestershire

Naeem Ahmad scored 71 on debut as Derbyshire reached 312 for eight against Gloucestershire on day two at Bristol. The visitors added 171 runs in the morning session before the home side replied with 189 for five.

James Bracey scored an unbeaten century for Gloucestershire, but Randell's five-wicket haul kept Derbyshire ahead. The visitors hold a 123-run lead with two days remaining.

Derbyshire's strong position gives them a chance to secure only their second County Championship win of the season.
