New Zealand name seven fast bowlers for five-match T20I series against India

New Zealand have named a 16-member squad for the five-match T20I series against India starting on October 22. The squad includes seven fast bowlers, suggesting the pitches are expected to favour pace during October and November. Thirteen players from New Zealand's T20 World Cup squad have been retained.

Michael Bracewell and Adam Milne return after missing the T20 World Cup through injury. Rachin Ravindra is unavailable after suffering a shoulder injury during a promotional shoot last week. New Zealand coach Rob Walter said the squad covers all bases and is near full strength.

More than 76,000 tickets have already been sold for the 12-match tour that includes five ODIs and two Tests. The series begins one month after India play their Asian Games quarterfinal in Japan.
