New Zealand rule out Ferguson and Henry for final two T20Is

Lockie Ferguson and Matt Henry will miss the final two T20Is after sustaining calf and quad injuries respectively.

New Zealand ruled out Lockie Ferguson and Matt Henry from the remaining T20Is against India. Ferguson sustained a low-grade right calf tear while Henry suffered a right quadricep injury. India leads the five-match series 3-0 and will play the fourth T20I at Eden Park on Friday.

Matt Fisher replaced Ferguson in the squad while Henry was already scheduled to miss the remaining matches for workload management. Ferguson is expected to need at least another week to recover while Henry needs one to two weeks.

Head coach Rob Walter said the team is gutted for Lockie and Matt. Both players are expected to be available for the ODI series against India that begins on November 4.
