New Zealand will debut a limited-edition ODI jersey against India on November 4 that celebrates 100 years of sporting ties between the nations.
New Zealand will wear a limited-edition ODI jersey against India on November 4 in Auckland. Three artists, including two of Indian origin, created the shirt that blends Māori kōwhaiwhai patterns with Indian lotus motifs, ogee patterns and mandalas.
NZC chief marketing officer Glenn Critchley said the shirt balances distinct Māori and Indian designs and expects it to become a collector's item. The five-match ODI series follows a five-match T20I series that begins October 22 in Christchurch.
Rachin Ravindra returns to the New Zealand ODI squad after a shoulder injury. Finn Allen, Lockie Ferguson and Tim Seifert also return after absences of three years or more. Several players will be released after the third ODI to prepare for the two-Test series that follows.
