Nitish Rana scores emotional half-century days after mother's death

Nitish Rana scored an emotional half-century for West Delhi Lions in the Delhi Premier League days after his mother's passing on August 7. Opposition players and the umpire walked over when he broke down at the crease.

The 32-year-old Delhi Capitals batter had lost his mother earlier in the week. He stayed out there, finished the fifty, then the innings moved on.

Rana is still under contract with Delhi Capitals for IPL 2026 and is expected at their pre-season camp.
