Nottinghamshire sign Mukesh Kumar for final two Championship games

Nottinghamshire signed India pace bowler Mukesh Kumar for the final two County Championship Division One matches. The 32-year-old arrives after a strong Duleep Trophy performance and joins a side sitting second, four points behind Somerset with two rounds remaining. Kumar has played 13 Tests and 18 ODIs for India. Nottinghamshire confirmed the deal on Monday, making him available for both remaining fixtures.

The club moved quickly once he became available after the Duleep Trophy concluded. The signing signals Notts need proven pace in these closing matches as they chase the title.

Kumar will be available immediately for the remaining fixtures.
